What is our strange fascination with breasts?  They are, in essence, large fatty deposits on the front of the female body that are used for nursing young.  Mind you, if the person you share your bed with on the regular has any skills, they are also awful nice to rub on, too.  At the end of the day, however, that’s about it really.  So why are there whole magazines devoted to pictures of them?  Whole years of adolescence spent wanting larger or smaller ones?  Whole sections of the medical industry devoted to reshaping, tucking, shaving, and adjusting them?  What is that about exactly?  While you are diligently pondering that question, here is a short list of some of the more famous “boob” jobs.  I will leave it to you to decide whether these celebrity breast enhancements were improvements or not.

#1  Pamela Anderson

Ms. Anderson was doing okay as a model and actress, but her career blew up, right along with her breast size when she went from a C cup to DD.  She later reduced their size, but chose to enhance it again, when her career stalled.  I guess she understands where her success lies.

#2  Heidi Montag

This reality show starlet had ten plastic surgeries in one day, including increasing her breast size to 34G.  Yep.  Not so much.  She now wishes she could go back and erase that day forever.  Cringe. 

#3  Dolly Parton

Ms. Parton has been straight up about her breast implants.  They are huge (1200 cc).  She likes them that way.  They are going to stay huge and perky until the day she dies.   Get out of her way.  She’s going to go write another hit song now.

#4 Carmen Electra

Carmen Electra is like Pamela Anderson Diet.  She too tried the bigger breasts equals bigger success route, but has received less press than her fellow Playboy Bunny and Baywatch-alum.  Post breast-augmentation she has worked primarily in comedy and parody films, playing roles that spoof her own appearance.

#5  Lil’ Kim

Rapper, singer, and songwriter Lil’ Kim went the way of Dolly Parton and chose to REALLY increase her bust.  Standing at a diminutive 4 feet 11 inches tall, her breast implants make her head, which also underwent a number of changes, look too small.  Sometimes, less really is more.
